Ep 8: Propitiation In The Gospel

In this episode we’re talking about why Jesus had to die. The short answer to the question is that so you didn’t have to. God, in his righteousness and love, sent Jesus to die in place of sinners. Not just to give them eternal life, but to satisfy his just wrath (propitiation) because we couldn’t. God’s love and justice, displayed in the death and resurrection of Christ, goes beyond our understanding. Could there have been another way? Did the Father HAVE TO kill his Son? We know that God is wise and good and all that he does will bring him the most glory and do us the most good. So join in as we break the ice on propitiation.
